Project description
Doolee was engaged to deliver the construction of a lined event pond, with extensive bulk earthworks completed in accordance with the project’s design documentation. While the earthworks formed the foundation, the core focus of Doolee’s scope centred on the SMP (structural, mechanical, piping) and E&I (electrical and instrumentation) components.
This included the full installation of all associated piping infrastructure — covering the supply, fabrication, and installation of HDPE liners and pipework, as well as the integration of critical assets such as the permanent valve station, water cannons, and related fittings, flanges, gaskets, fasteners, and structural supports.
Doolee’s in-house teams also executed all E&I works, including electrical conduit installation, cabling, field terminations, instrumentation tie-ins, and functional commissioning. The project was delivered through Doolee’s self-performing model, drawing on the capabilities of dedicated crews across excavation, concrete works, HDPE welding, structural installation, and QA/QC.
Scope inclusions
- Supply and installation of over 10,000 m² of pond lining, including preparation, welding, testing, and QA documentation
- Construction of reinforced concrete structures, including drive-in sumps, retaining walls, culvert crossings, and structural pipe supports
- Installation of temporary drainage diversions
